The current (click) 7-day hospitalization incidence and the tier regulation for Baden-Württemberg can be found on this page.

Detailed representation:

From Thursday, September 16, 2021, a corona ordinance of the state of Baden-Württemberg will come into force. This introduces a three-stage warning system (basic level – warning level – alert level). The decisive factor is no longer the incidence figures, but the numbers of people with COVID-19 in intensive care units in the country.

The current figures can be looked up in the DIVI intensive register or on the country’s website.

The 3G rule applies to all levels of overnight accommodation, which is tightened in the alarm level to include a PCR test for unvaccinated people. A new test must be submitted after 72 hours (a quick test is sufficient for all levels).

In future, indicators for the three levels will be the 7-day hospitalization incidence – i.e. how many people per 100,000 inhabitants with COVID-19 are admitted to hospital – and the occupancy of the intensive care beds with COVID-19 patients (AIB). The figures published by the Baden-Württemberg State Health Office apply.

Warning level: The warning level is issued if the hospitalization incidence reaches or exceeds 8.0 on five working days in a row or the occupancy rate of the intensive care beds in Baden-Württemberg reaches or exceeds 250 on two consecutive working days.

Alert level: The alert level is raised if the hospitalization incidence reaches or exceeds 12.0 on five working days in a row or the occupancy rate of the intensive care beds in Baden-Württemberg reaches or exceeds 390 on two consecutive working days.

The following are also excluded from the PCR test obligation (warning level) or the entry and participation ban (alarm level):

These people must alternatively present a negative rapid antigen test in both stages.

Children up to and including 5 years of age and children who have not yet started school are generally exempt from the obligation to test or the entry and participation ban.

Schoolchildren do not have to present a test certificate. Since they are regularly tested twice a week in school, it is sufficient to present an ID document that confirms that schooling is compulsory.

For all persons from the age of 0 with typical COVID-19 symptoms, there is still a general ban on entry and participation.

Further information on the regulations valid in Baden-Württemberg can be found in the current Corona regulation of the state government (with a resolution of September 15; valid from September 16 to October 14) or the FAQs.
